Our Capacity
Currently, MES Powder Coating utilizes multiple electrostatic spray production lines. This guarantees us a backup in case of emergency. Our ovens can accommodate small items that are only inches in length up to items 30′ long. In addition our ovens can accommodate larger and bulkier items up to 12’H x 10’W x 30’D. To guarantee quality a series of pre-treatment steps is used; wash, rinse and coat the metal with iron phosphate. The powder coating is applied by spraying charged particles of powder onto the part. The powder is then cured in a controlled temperature oven.

The Powder Process
1.Parts Preparation: Parts are inspected and inventoried and any imperfections are removed.
2.Cleaning: Parts are moved to our pre-treatment and cleaning area, where they are washed with a hot high-pressure washer.
3.Iron Phosphate: Once cleaned, the parts are iron phosphated to provide an etched surface for the powder to adhere to. Thus, providing a superior bond between the powder and the metal.
4.Dry Off: After cleaning and iron phosphating the parts are either rolled into a batch oven or dried using the drying cycle on our continuous conveyor line.
5.Powder Coating: Once the parts are dry they are moved to the powder booth where powder is electro statically applied.
6.Powder Cure: Now that the parts are dusted with powder they are baked in one of our ovens until they are cured.
7.Packaging: Once cooled, the finished product is then wrapped and packaged ready for shipment.
