Advantages
Electrostatic painting is based on the principal of electric charge; opposites attract. The object to be painted is grounded or given a negative charge. The paint is given a positive charge and atomized in a special revolving bell. Instead of being directed to the part with a strong current of compressed air, the paint is actually attracted or drawn to the metal surface. The object attracts the paint similarly to a magnet attracting metal.
Electrostatic painting has many advantages over other types of conventional or airless applications. For example, it is ideal for painting grill work because over spray is kept to a minimum. The electrostatic force pulls paint around corners ensuring a smooth, even coat on every bar. We achieve what the industry calls a “wrap finish”. Items that you might consider difficult or impossible to paint can be given a “factory finish”. Refinishing office furniture such as filing cabinets and desks is a cost effective way to create a new office décor at about 10% the cost of new.
